What Happened to Paninis??
I still love paninis.
I had the wildest thought that I haven't had a panini since college. Then I begun digging what happened to them... HAHAHA
My personal opinions are that avocados came to rise around the time that paninis started dying off. Then came around the obsession over salads. But after doing a quick Googly Google search, it seems over the years the market has shifted to rebranding their once "panini" sandwich into something more accurate such as, "toasted sandwich" (ex. Panera, Subway). The term "panini" just isn't cool anymore. :(
